Climb 400 to 1000+ foot (120 to 300+ meters) sandstone walls in one of the best rock climbing destinations in the world.

Overview

With over 2,000 climbing routes, spectacular desert scenery, 300 days of sunshine a year and only 30 minutes separating it from the attractions of the Las Vegas Strip it's no wonder that Red Rock Canyon is one of the premier climbing destinations in the United States. The huge sandstone peaks of Red Rock rise over 2,000 feet (610 meters) from base to summit. With elevations of up to 7,000 feet (2,134 meters) the multicolored mountains dominate the Las Vegas valley and can be seen from the center of the city 20 miles (32 kilometers) away. Red Rock has hundreds of excellent short climbs but its awe-inspiring mountains beckon rock climbers from all over the world to do long multi-pitch routes.

We work with the best AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association) certified guides to take you on an unforgettable all-day vertical adventure. On this trip we scale a big rock wall, take in amazing views from hundreds of feet off the ground and get the ultimate Red Rock experience.

Itinerary

  1. The definitive Red Rock adventure

Day 1: The definitive Red Rock adventure

Prior to your climbing day your guide will contact you to discuss your experience, climbing goals and possible routes. On the day itself your guide will meet you outside Red Rock Canyon. After fitting and sorting out gear you drive inside the park and hike to your selected route. Most multi-pitch routes in Red Rock involve about an hour of hiking from the parking lot to the base of the climb. You will spend at least 4 hours on the wall and will probably have your lunch break high off the ground. Start and end times for the day depend on your chosen route and the time of year.
